Class policies
For everyone joining an AlignStill class
Before you book, please take a moment to read the notices below. Booking a class confirms that you've read and understood them.
General class policies
Please read before you sign up.
Please arrive ready at least 10 minutes before the session starts — sessions begin on time, and latecomers may not be admitted, as this can disrupt the class for others.
Please don't photograph or record any part of the session without asking the teacher first, to protect everyone's privacy.
Health notice
Please read before you sign up.
These are open-level yoga and mindfulness sessions — gentle and adaptable, and not a substitute for medical advice.
Take part voluntarily and within your own limits. Rest whenever you need to, and stop if you feel unwell or in pain.
If you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or have any health condition, check with your doctor first and tell the teacher before class.
For online classes, join from a safe, clear space with room to move, on a non-slip surface. No equipment is needed — wear comfortable clothes. A mat or non-slip surface and any props you have (a cushion, block or blanket) help, but none are essential.
For in-person classes, please bring your own mat and any props you'd like to use.
By booking, you confirm that you have read and understood this notice and that you take part voluntarily and at your own discretion.
Privacy notice
How your information is used — please read before you sign up.
Your privacy matters. This explains, in plain English, what happens to the information you share when you book a class, in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What is collected: your name, email, and anything you choose to share about your health.
Why: to organise and run the classes and to help keep you safe. Any health information is treated as "special category" data and used only with your consent and to protect your safety in class.
Sharing: nothing is shared, except with the platform used to deliver the class (for example Zoom or Microsoft Teams) or where the law requires it. Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
Keeping it: your information is held securely and kept only as long as needed, then deleted.
Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time — just email hello@alignstill.com. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
